NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT NEW RULE OF CARBON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT #2

Pursuant to W.S. 21-3 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of Carbon County School District #2 (“District”) will consider taking action to adopt new rules and regulations at a meeting of the Board of Trustees on October 19" at 4 p.m., at the Regular Board Meeting at Hanna Elementary School, 300 3rd Street Hanna, WY 82327. The proposed rules create Graduation Requirements as required by the State of Wyoming. The proposed rules will revise Carbon County School District #2 Policy IKF-Graduation Requirements and will include:

i. A description/definition of “passing grades” for coursework taken to obtain a diploma. Description must include levels of successful performance for graduation standards.

ii. A description of how competency-based assessments may be used to satisfy coursework.

iii. Documentation of options students may use to demonstrate competency on the graduation standards.

iv. A requirement to demonstrate satisfactory performance on the U.S./WY constitution exams.

v. A description of district approach to developing student success plans.

vi. A description of district approach to developing student success plans.

vii. An assurance that credit will be awarded for courses taken through a qualifying post-secondary program (W.S. 21-20-2012).

viii. A description of additional diploma requirements as defined by the district.

The proposed rule requirements are posted online at the District's website www.crb2.org, and are available at the District's main office at 315 N. 1%. St., Saratoga, Wyoming, 82331.

Interested persons may obtain a copy of the assessment of the proposed rule requirements pursuant to W.S. 9-5-304 at 315 N. 1^st Street, Saratoga, Wyoming 82331.

Interested parties may attend the Work Session meeting of the Board of Trustees of the District occurring at 2 o'clock p.m. on the 21^st day of September, 2026, at the Saratoga Elementary School, at 311 W. Spring Street Saratoga, WY 82331, and present their views, comments, objections or requested changes to the proposed rules. The District will also receive public comments on the proposed rules on our website, www.crb2.org. All interested persons may, in addition, submit data, views or objections orally or in writing to the District at the above meetings, or in writing at P.O. Box 1530, Saratoga, WY 82331 prior to October 19, 2026. The Board of Trustees of the District intends to act on these rules at its meeting on October 19, 2026.
